Bhutan is a small landlocked kingdom at the foothills of the mighty Himalayas. Many have called Bhutan the last Shangri-La on Earth. To travel to Bhutan one doesn't require a visa to be stamped at their home country but a letter of approval from the Bhutanese Government which you have to present to immigration at Paro International Airport and they issue a visa on the spot


There is a minimum charge of $ 200 per day that each foreign tourist has to pay which includes a Basic 3 star room, 3 meals, A chauffeur Driven car plus a Government Licensed certified English speaking tour guide. You can always throw in a few extra dollars per day and upgrade your hotel room if you may. Ask you Bhutan tour company also to send you a list of packages with a detailed itinerary for the same.

Most Bhutan tour operator will suggest you a 5-7 day basic travel package for Bhutan but do note there are lots of other customized Bhutan travel packages that they have so feel free to take your pick.
